La Puerta and Abiquiu Elementary
I’ve been volunteering for La Puerta and Abiquiu Elementary, working with over 40 children from the Chess Club where we’re making 32-piece chess sets out of clay, with various themes.
Iren Schio is running the program and Amber Archer is firing all the pieces for the kids.
This is a huge project as you can imagine 40 kids times 32-pieces plus making a chess board. Bringing the total to 1,280 pieces and 40 boards, whew what did I get myself into.
