Attended the NMPCA workshop at Ghost Ranch

I attended the Gallimaufry* 2014 workshop after being awarded a scholarship by the New Mexico Potters and Clay Artists.

Sept 12-14, 2014
Ghost Ranch, Abiquiu, NM

The presenters included

  • Marc Hudson, Introduction to Extruding
  • Jody Folwell, Micaceous Clay
  • Lee Akins, Tin Foil Saggar
  • Tomas Wolff, Collaboration in Clay: Creative Group Experiences as Social Action
  • Phil Green, Making Raku Clocks
  • Sharbani Das Gupta, Image Transfer and Chinese Residency Experiences

*Gallimaufry: a jumble or medley: origin combines French words meaning “to amuse oneself” and “to gorge oneself.” This is just what we will do with ceramic information for the weekend! Presenters represent different approaches. The weekend offers something for everyone and promises to be great fun with hands‐on activities and exchanging of ideas.
